What CVT? Where is the CVT? That's a Planetary gearbox? Every gearbox is CVT by this concept if you regulate by input not by gearbox itself.

this is not a toyota cvt, toyotas cvt still uses a belt, but it uses a regular helical gear as its “first gear” thus why they last so long, once the car gains speed it switches back to the belt in the CVT
