As a Transmasc, we are so often overlooked and conversation and said to have this masc privilege that only exist for stealth and passing transmascs. Non-passing transmascs don’t get those privileges.

from a trans masc - thank you for sharing this message. transgender people of all genders and expressions are stronger when we work together and work to understand each other!

every time i try to bring this up someone says “wow you really are a man, making the issue about yourself,” but not only do i have the issues that come with being trans, but being born a woman 1/2

It's also the fact that the only time we're really "centered" in any trans conversation is when terfs (or conservatives) try to say that we're "little girls" being forced into medical transition. We get USED in conversations to take away gender affirming care, but are otherwise invisible– even in LGBTQ+ communities🫠

And when trans men try to speak up about the oppression they face, they get told they’re speaking over women with jokes about how ‘that’s what men do’. As a trans girl, we need to do better.

I feel like transmascs are only brought up in reference to the “privilege” we receive and people point to a white passing trans men as proof and forget all about us non-white trans men who don’t pass

it’s so frustrating that allies and even lots of trans ppl take “trans women, especially trans women of color, are at the greatest risk” and turn it into “ONLY trans women are at risk”

1) Thank you SO MUCH for making this video. I’ve seen fellow transmascs trying to speak out about how we are completely ignored by society and how it’s harming us so deeply, and the comments

people hear “men” or “masc” and they push us to the side and forget that these words are sometimes are preceded by “trans.” i’m tired of being silenced just because ppl forgot i’m trans

Sobbing as a closeted trans masc. I literally felt so bad for asking ‘is there a guy version of protect the dolls?’ I guessed ‘protect the gi Joe’s’ (or whatever action figures you love—)

Trans masc here, I appreciate this so much. Another thing I’d like to add is that not all of us are as invisible, no amount of binding can flatten me enough and ik I’m not the only one out there.

we don't fit their narrative, so we're ignored. you're the victim of their narrative, so you're very present. neither is a safe place to be and my heart breaks for our community

Not to mention, soooo many people are awful to trans men. Because they either hate us for being men or they try to belittle us by saying we're not men. Being on social media as a trans man is painful.

Thank you - we don't even get to be a part of the convo around trans identity. And some of us are VERY visible in our transness (like myself) but I never, EVER see anyone who looks like me in media.

As a trans masc it makes me so happy to hear and see a trans fem talk about this. We are overlooked a lot of the time. I love hearing you talk about the entire trans spectrum and not just one side!!
