40g is the minimum for adults! make sure you have a humid hide, lots of climbing opportunities, a basking spot, and proper UVB. it looks great!!

my leopard gecko loves a good ol log. she doesnt move around or climb a lot. shes pretty chill. my gecko also really likes flat warm spots to pancake

For a juvenile this is fantastic. But I would definitely look into upgrading in the future. My Leo uses every inch of her 50 gallon and is upgrading to a 120 gallon. The more space the better. Reptiles need to thrive not just survive, and if you did this for the future enclosure that would be awesome it really does look great tho good job👍

okay question i’m a new leopard gecko owner and it’s bad for a gecko to eat soil and play sand mixed cuz it will cause digestive issues and could be fatal and i’m scared of that. is there anything else i could use for a gecko that’s not going to harm it if it eats it?

Maybe add some sand in places, recommend 70% substrate, 30% sand (make sure it’s suitable for humidity, reptile sand should be fine) also, if you ever re do the substrate fully you could add some clay beads BUT IYS NOT NECESSARY!!! It’s gorgeous the way it is!!
