y’all. they all refer to “wear” something, but the literal meaning is different. “입다“ means “put on” || “신다“ means “put on”, but if you think about the word “shoes”, it is “신발“ so it makes sense because they both start with “신-”. || “쓰다” means “to wear” || “끼다“ means “put on” too (and as she said is for tight fitting things) || “차다“ also means “to wear”. || “매다“ also means “to tie”, so if you’re talking about wearing something that has to be tied up, you use that verb || “메다“ could also mean “carry”, so that is why you use it when referring to bags or things that go on your shoulder, because you’re carrying them.
