I think it’s more to do with vapes being easily bought without the batteries being regulated, as after Samsung phones exploded, all electric devices had to be hand luggage and CE marked in the EU…

you do know the smoking filters generally on planes have been turned off since the ban. on older planes it turns on the "you can smoke sign" but it's actually beneficial to human health if no one smoked and it was on all the time.. this is why plane travel can make you sick. the air is being recycled and not filtered for anything

yeah... smoking was banned because of second hand smoke, its the same with vapes, you still get second hand smoke. I actually flew while you could still some and the smoking section was horrific
