𝔄𝔪𝔢𝔢𝔯𝔞 🌹 أميرة :
Fāṭimah رضي الله عنها, the daughter of the Prophet ﷺ, said: “The best women are those who do not see men and are not seen by them.” [ Ablam-un-Nisā – p.219 ] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ warned: “The worst women are those who display themselves and act with pride.” [ Sahīh al-Jāmi‘ – 333 ] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “The woman is ‘awrah. When she goes out, Shayṭān beautifies her (in the eyes of men).” [ Sunan at-Tirmidhī – 1173 ] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “The best rows for men are the front rows, and the worst are the back. As for women, the best rows are the back, and the worst are the front.” [ Sahīh Muslim – 440 ] Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said: “The uncovering of the face and adornment in front of non-maḥram men is forbidden by the consensus of the scholars, and the hijāb is obligatory to protect the woman from fitnah.” [ Majmū‘ al-Fatāwā – 22/110 ] Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn رحمه الله said: “The woman is a source of temptation and should not be exposed to men’s gazes. Islam has obligated her to wear the veil and protected her by instructing her to stay in her home, for therein lies her honor and purity.” [ Fatāwā Nūr ʿalā al-Darb – tape n°245 ] Shaykh Ibn Bāz رحمه الله said: “A woman must cover her entire body in front of non-maḥram men, including her face and hands, because that is part of maintaining chastity and preventing temptation.” [ Fatwa of Shaykh Ibn Bāz – Dar al-Ifta website ] Shaykh al-Albānī رحمه الله said: “The evidences from the Qur’an and Sunnah show that a woman must wear the full hijāb and not expose herself to strangers, for this is a protection for her and for the society.” [ Jilbāb al-Mar’ah al-Muslimah ]
