Your grip doesn't matter. You could hold it like a baseball bat if you want as long as you hit the ball correctly.

My biggest issue is that I was never taught a proper grip or a proper swing. So I have to rely all on athletic ability. Which is probably why I can hit one good shot followed by 50 bad ones. Frustrating
