Put an IPhone on FaceTime in her room. Keep it plugged in and she will be able to see you and hear your voice at all times. Also set the phone to pick up automatically. I just did this for my mom.

My daughter is a CNA and she goes above and beyond unfortunately there are more than a few who do the bare minimum! If you can put up a camera do so!

Some of these comments are rubbish! You are doing the best you can and i really admire you. I know you wish she could just be with you instead.but people don’t get it when they aren’t experiencing it.

Can I ask if you have a good relationship with any of her care givers? In the facility I work in, there are very few times we can add someone the next day, because bath lists are SO heavy already, during a busy shift.

sorry to keep bugging you...a resident told me it felt like shard's of glass hitting her when showering, so I took over & used a sponge w water. I could cry watching this 😢

When I see these videos, This reminds me when I visited my mom. No one will ever take of their parents better then us. I took her home with me and she was happy! I miss her so much!

Also, set the phone on a tripod in front of her bed. The hospital was on their BEST BEHAVIOR knowing that several of us were watching all day long. Create a group call.

start showing up on different days at all different times join them when they are eating because a lot of them do not want to eat AIDS r not allowed to feed them. Keep the faith

unicorn is probably in another residents room, that happens a lot ! I'm not an aide,I'm not a nurse - I was director of activities on lock down unit. I've seen a lot. Sending prayers 🙏 to you .

We had a the same experience with a nursing home as well! Their clothes were not separated. They got shared!👍😎 Moms had a beauty salon she got her hair done on Fridays!👍😎

The brain needs to be stimulated. Those places leave them like plants. Whatever they can do to make staff’s lives easiest. So sad
