I would always put some Zinger of a joke about 2/3 of the way through my technical documentation that I wrote. in my 35-year career I had two people tell me they saw that joke

fun fact! the manual for, if I remember correctly, one of the first Yamaha sound boards is still used. It contains a lot of useful information that is used for all boards not just the one that it is meant for. I have a copy of it somewhere

lolol pchem prof here and I look at tech manuals for instruments in our lab all the time! my favorite one is for our Julabo thermostat. the first line is, "Congratulations, you've made an excellent choice!" 🤣
