THIS! And the bamboo forest up there is way better and less crowded. We walked all the way down back to the main town and we got an Uber over the bridge.

Going with my parents in Oct and love the hack of taking a cab to the top first, esp for my parents who will appreciate the easier walk. Did I just get dropped off at the temple or somewhere nearby? We are staying in Osaka so will train to Kyotofor day trips. Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you!!
