banks should have no say in that.. their job is to hold your money in a safe place till you need it. and they get to play with it while it's in there. not their place to judge where it comes from. to keep something that is not theirs sounds like it should be illegal.

They legally can’t hold your funds. I worked at a bank. They can deny you for not wanting to be tied to that stuff but can’t hold your money hostage (unless the work is illegal)
