Hi real student here, just like to say that all though this does seem like a good idea that not all students are addicted to their phone and some teachers just fail to explain their lesson properly!

Just let them have their phones on silent and if they use them or disturb a lesson confiscate the phone till the end of the day. Pretty simple if you can be responsible you keep your phone

Gosh, just ask them to keep their phones away in lesson time. Otherwise access at lunch and breaks. Give pupils responsibility and expectations.

ye if kids need too ,teachers should follow as they dont need there phones for work lessons as all should have computers to monitor them and class have phones in them in for school office and emergenc

This seems like it would be such a mess and shows the school has no control over the children if the only way they can stop them using their phones is by physically locking all phones up

there's a teacher shortage & they thought taking away the kids' pocket dictionary/encyclopedia/calculator/library was a good idea ?? 😭 more strain on teachers just cuz admin wants no angry birds 🙄

I imagine the responsible pupils (who probably were not using their phones in class anyway) will comply and the others will use burner phones and carry on being distracted.

I remember getting my phone taken in high school. I also remember my teachers not getting verbally and physically assaulted while doing so

People are against this? All the kids are constantly on their phones taking photos, browsing insta, snapchat, ect they very distracted and don’t pay attention to the lessons
