meanwhile I had to sit there and tell my mom "it's OK tell them your steak is too rare, it's fine" in her defense it was WAY to rare and she did not ask for it like that. she felt bad as someone who never sends food back I was like "mom it's OK as long as you aren't rude about it it's OKAY they'll understand" my mom is the kindest customer

This is what I tell my employees. do not bend backwards for people who are rude. if someone is being nice, do go above and beyond. but if they are being rude, show them the door. Rewarding Karens just teaches them that being a Karen works. Stop rewarding Karens
