On August 29, 2022, 65-year-old Randy Miller was preparing for a day of fishing with his friend in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. At around 5:45 a.m., Randy was loading his boat when someone sneaked up behind him and fatally stabbed him once in the chest. His murder was the first in a decade in Atlantic Beach and only the third in the town's history. Investigators have released surveillance footage of three individuals believed to have been involved in Randy’s murder, as well as images of a silver or lightly colored Volkswagen CC, which they believe was the car the suspects used to flee the scene. Despite this information and a $55,000 reward for tips leading to an arrest and conviction, investigators are struggling to find new leads. That may soon change, as Randy Miller’s case is featured on “America’s Most Wanted.” The show has helped capture more than 1,100 fugitives and recover dozens of missing children.
