Actually China did grant citizenship foreigners but few got it as reward for them scenic research and other honored acts. But this very few.

I know it's not fair, but people should consider the 1.4 billion population! Some people in Canada even complains about immigrants although the population is only 40 millions for the same landmass! 😂

My friend who was born & raised in China, became a UK citizen last year. But he had to give up his Chinese passport because they don't accept dual citizenship. It was not an easy decision for him.

I think it's good for China. I've heard chinese is just a chinese person. Europeans or others in China can't physically become chinese even if they live there

It's fair. Every country has its policies for migration, China does not need people, it needs to protect its people. Marriage for citizenship exists, exploitation exists. China is limiting this.

I think it’s fair. America was built on immigration and Europe colonized - so this policy would be wrong for us, but for countries who kept themselves to themselves they don’t have the same responsibility I guess.

The Chinese Constitution is clear regarding citizenship. If you are Chinese and apply to another citizenship automatically you lost your primary citizenship. There is not double citizenship.

This system makes sense.Why do people believe they are entitled to get other passports? Most countries have a lot of problems with second generation immigrants and cannot sort out the problems.
