Me and my 3 year old walked into town, sat down for some breakfast, and chatted about Jesus. As parents, we are responsible to teach our children about Jesus. Yes, there are amazing Sunday school teachers and children’s and youth pastors out there… I’m even a youth pastor myself!! And I will ALWAYS be so thankful for the people at church who pour into our children’s lives. HOWEVER!!! Discipling your children starts at home. YOU are the one they see every day. YOU are the one they spend most time with. YOU are the one they will get the most input from. Don’t leave it up to other people. So bring Jesus into your conversations. Let them see you reading your Bible. Ask what you can pray about together, and then actually pray. This is how it could look: ⬇️ On this particular day we were talking about our upcoming summer holiday that we’re about to go on. I used this opportunity to tell my son that we are so blessed that we get to go on a holiday, and how there are some people aren’t able to for whatever reason. That led to us to talk about what Jesus teaches about money, and how we should share what we have and bless others with what we have been blessed with. We then spoke about some really easy ways we could put this into practice… we left the coffee shop, went into town and done that thing we spoke about. And then on the walk home, we prayed for the person we helped. It’s that easy. And of course different methods will work for different ages. But just now, I am simply looking to bring Jesus into our every day conversations, and look for ways to put into practice what we’ve spoken about. Don’t over complicate it! Just let them see your love for Jesus, and show them how they can know Him too. ❤️ #motherhood #parent #christianmum #christian #bible
