This is based on an old poster from the 70s that said “baby”, it’s possible there was some copyright issue with the phrasing and they had to change it

I believe I may have the answer. Are you watching the series on Netflix? If so, there have been a number of people noticing that when Netflix picks up a series that was only ever shown in 4:3, that they use A.I. to create and alter things to fill the space. Search for posts on A Different World to see what I mean.

It is the same poster. The art department changed Kitty to Baby because “kitty” is offensive in some cultures. Well, that’s my best guess.

I can almost guarantee the original was a copyrighted phrase and they changed it later in the series run.
