I learned this through pain (Series 🎥: A Week Away).
We dreamed.
We hoped.
We loved. But the cracks came sooner than our wisdom. And for a moment, it felt like love was lost forever. And yet… it ended. Not because God was cruel.
Not because we were careless. It ended because His protection was greater than our desire. Because sometimes He lets what we cling to fall, so we can cling to Him alone. 📖 “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18) Jesus allows love.
He allows closeness.
He allows passion to awaken the heart. But He also reveals:
Our idols.
Our dependence.
Our desperate need for Him first. And He whispers: I am your healer. I am your forever love. Love without Christ as the anchor cannot stand.
He knows heartbreak plants seeds of compassion.
He knows pain grows perseverance.
He knows loss opens the way for His glory. Yes, the ache remains.
Yes, the silence stings. But Jesus is already weaving redemption. A greater story is unfolding—one where your heart, healed and whole, can carry love without fear. Until then, He allows good things to end so better things can begin. The purpose was never them.

Why does the world cheer for the loudest voices?
Why do the selfish get applause,
while the gentle are overlooked? Why do the proud stand tall…
while the humble bow low in tears? Even David wrestled with it:
“Do not fret because of those who are evil
or be envious of those who do wrong;
for like the grass they will soon wither.”
→ (Psalm 37:1–2) It felt so backwards.
So unfair. But then I remembered the stage here isn’t forever.
The curtain hasn’t closed yet. God isn’t absent.
He’s merciful.
He’s holding back judgment,
not because He ignores evil but because He’s giving time for grace.
→ (2 Peter 3:9) The wicked may shine under spotlights now…
but eternity will dim their applause.
The faithful may cry in the shadows now…
but eternity will crown their story. Because this isn’t the end.
It’s just the opening act. Paul said it best:
“The sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing
with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”
→ (Romans 8:18) So I stopped asking,
“Why do they look so blessed?”
And started asking,
“Am I living for the moment… or for forever?” Type “My story isn’t over”
if you believe God is writing something greater,
that pain won’t have the final word,
and joy is coming in His time. Because hope in Christ
turns the weakest day
