I considered long and hard and bought one for $35. It's got UV blocking, super lightweight and super tiny. It's the quality and it's supposed to last..my other Japan made umbrella has worked for maybe 7-8 yrs before it started having very tiny holes.

Usually the more expensive ones are also uv protection + wind resistant (aka they will not break and flip durinf winds), compared to the cheap umbrellas that usually never have UV and may or may not stand against wind

prices range from 2500 to 5000 yen which comes with a UV protection. (check labels) dont get the cheap ones as it is very thin and does not have UV protection

Skill issue. Tons of cheap umbrellas unless your opting for a higher quality low weight uh protection umbrella etc… can also go to second hand store good quality new umbrellas for cheap

Dont go to shopping malls go to home centers (DAIYU 8)they have 100yen shop section i bought umbrellas that are 400¥ and 700¥ 😉
