Once it changes over the order will cancel, the money will automatically be refunded. The only time you get cash if it is doesn’t cancel and comes out of pending. If it ends at 1030 then at 1031 you can not get your order. Be there AND paid by 1030. You order does not hit the kitchen till you are there to verify pick up. It’s not hard. Refunds depend on your banks refund policy for how quickly it hits your account.

There's a strange period between 10:30 am-11 am on the mobile app. where it won't let me order from the lunch menu, although breakfast ends at 10:30 am

Working at McDonald’s, breakfast ends at 10:30 so unless your order is for inside pick up and you don’t arrive till after 10:30 maybe there’s some leeway but if have it for drive thru and it’s not picked up before 10:30 then legit there’s nothing we can do as we’ve already switched fryers and all that over to the lunch settings

Mobile order or not you still have to be near the restaurant for the order to start being made if you arrive after 10:30 your order would not be put through the system.
