when desert storm kicked off one of my fellow Marines had a couple of weeks left. he got stop losses and we spent the next 7 months in the desert then fought the ground war

Stop loss in 2006 was epic. People went down range and got extended also. So 12-15 months passed ETS.

when I was a contractor in Iraq, 1 of my buddies working with me got recalled. Had to fly home to his unit, and then came back to Iraq with that unit.
