My friend got me into Guilty Gear about last year, ever since then I’ve had a love for fighting games since. Rn I only play GGST but I plan to get into some other fighting games too! (If yall have any fg recommendations I’d love to hear them.)

I’m like… SUPER LATE, but I got my friends into Guilty Gear Strive and I don’t regret it one bit. They were frustrated at first, but because of our competitiveness, they kept practicing and now it’s really nice seeing them have close matches. I agree dude, fighting games are legit a beautiful genre. ❤️

I'm old, I cut my teeth in the fgc at the bowling alley when I was like 8. I only have $5 to play all night, so I practice at home so I can stay on the cab the longest, otherwise I was waiting for my grandfather to be done bowling bored out of my mind or watching other kids play.

Real. I started playing fighting games alot not too long ago and I find it a bit sad that not more people play this amazing genre. Hitting a combo you’ve practiced on for the first time while playing online always feels great.

The end of SFV and seeing all these big tournaments going on inspired me to take the release of SF6 seriously. I went on to go to my very first EVO in 2024 and even though I went 2-2 in pools that was one of the most exciting weekends I’ve ever had.

Picked up my first fighting game with dbfz. Me and my friend ended up getting pretty good and our 1v1s were so fun. Not to mention the ranked grind. Now we play sf6, I play t8 and played ggst. Super fun genre

i try my best to get into fighting games so that I can play with/against my best friend but I kept losing. I lose so much that I feel nothing when I win and even if I play random vs matches I still constantly lose even tho I've been watching guide videos. Any advice I need to keep going? because the more i play and lose, the less motivated I am and the less feel like playing and instead play a diff game that makes me feel good because it's brain dead fun

my first fighting game was fighterz I played for 1 hour and dropped it my friends got me to play it again and now I have nearly 600 hours and have branched into guilty gear and blazblue if it wasn't for the homies I would never have gotten into fighting games

It takes a type of mentality to play fighting games.....you have to learn take an L in order to get gud. Imagine buying a 60$ game just to take a beating over and over again..is it worth it? only if ur strong enough...

I started learning. I joined my local FGC, and got washed by a TO. I was apologizing for being bad, and he was like “hey, we’ve all been there. You got to get washed in order to be clean” and that really stuck w/ me. When I feel demotivated, I go back to this
