I’m not open to believing in God just like I’m not open to believing in unicorns. It makes more sense to say that I’m an atheist. Agnostics are different.

Atheist is a the default state of a human being until another human introduces the concept of a god. Agnostic means not sure if god exists or not. Atheist means dont know what god is or know and reject it.

the problem is that when someone says theyre agnostic they typically mean that they do belive in some form of higher power but they arent sure which one. this person would be an agnostic athiest, the belief that while its possible that a higher power exists, it might just be the case that there isnt.

Then everyone would be agnostic. Faith in god isn’t knowing a god exists, it’s someone who believes in a god. Anyone who believes anything can’t 100% know it, hence everyone’s agnostic

You can be both lol. Agnostic Atheist is still a term. Its a pointless semantic. Atheist = Unconvinced of the idea of god. Agnostic = doesnt *know* if god exists or not. So you can be unconvinced of claims of god and not know if one exists or not. The dude is still an atheist.
