Everything you mentioned, aside from short time to practice, is easily available with MD/DO. None of those are PA-specific. It’s simple- if you want to be the expert, go to med school. If not, PA.

No residency is an issue. The ER PAs I've seen are terrible. One of them told me I didn't need a rabies shot because they would just treat it if I have symptoms. You mean when I'm dead?!

CRNA for me - I get to actually live life in my 20s, make a living wage before CRNA school, AND come out on the other side making absolute bank without having to worry about the abuse of residency MD/DOs have to put up with, and don’t have to worry about not matching into my preferred specialty, OH AND I get to work on a team and have someone at my side helping when I need it? An honest to god job I can go to, do my work, clock out with a nice check and go home? F%$* yeah, I LOVE my career path!

All of the haters in the comments thinking just bc you CHOOSE a career automatically means you couldn’t technically go higher w/ your education makes me laugh. Just bc someone doesn’t want to be a physician means they can’t? I personally switched to pre-PA because I realized I wanted to be a wife & a mother quicker & I wanted to be more present in my children’s life when they’re young! Literally nothing to do w/ the actual schooling/ rigor. Ik a lot of young women like me too!
