Former hamster mom, make sure you have a DEEP cage!!! They are burrowers and need AT LEAST 6 inches of bedding or so!!

Instead of the cages with tubes, it’s best to get a 20-30 gallon aquarium and just put mulch with some wood decorations

hi! I'm just wanted to let you know that hamsters need a bare minimum of 450 SQ and the cage you got is especially dangerous bc of the tubes,hope this helps!

The cage you took is really dangerous for them and it could die in it. you should just get a big bin with enough litter for him to dig tunnels in himself

I highly recommend getting an aquarium tank for the hamster instead because they are escape artists and can easily get out that cage

I’d recommend getting a big fish tank for the hamster. Since it’s a dwarf hamster, it can squeeze through the cage. Had experience with this one

There’s a really helpful group on fb for hamsters. Those cages are actually too small - but I’ve also learned a lot here on tiktok. Congrats on your new baby!

Respectfully, that isn’t a proper setup for a hamster :( they need a larger terrarium with lots of bedding to burrow and nest in.
