let's talk about language, my Chinese parents though illiterate can speak the malay language even though the malay population is a minority. Most Malays never thought of picking up mandarin as an advantage in the work place.

Itz true Malays were excluded from armed forces but they were still enlisted in police, prison & civil defence. The unfavorable situation faced by Malay community was not due to loss of armed forces job. Their high birth rates compounded their inflexibility in finding jobs in other economic sectors.

That is the modus operandi of politics anywhere...to gain power, u need to dominate...to dominate, u need the numbers and so u seek ur kind... once u hv the numbers u destroy the competition or threat to ur what u hv gained..so they create a narrative and dwelve in propaganda to make u believe in that narrative...the result, u hold onto power for long time..
