In Florida both directions must stop unless there's an unpaved median at least 5 feet wide, including multi lane roads.

That happens over here or I drop my grandchildren off and pick them up at the bus stop. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen the bus with its lights on and the stop sign out with a flashing light on it and they just blow right past the bus and continuously run a stop sign like it doesn’t exist.

it dont make sense to stop on the opposite side of the road when there isnt even a crosswalk there. so kids couldnt cross the middle of the road anyway without them breaking the law.
