@treehousehair: A lot of clients ask for warmth but don’t always have the words to describe it. What they’re usually after is a golden hue at a lighter level, without any brassy or orange undertones. I like to take my time during the consult to go through photo references and make sure we’re speaking the same language before getting started. For this look, I used off-root highlights with larger ribbons of blonde to connect to her existing lightness through the ends. The goal was a seamless grow out that gives her the freedom to come back when she’s ready, rather than a harsh line or unwanted warmth determining the timing.
