As someone with 2 of them, just don’t buy them if you don’t want constant problems. Doesn’t matter what you do they will never run good. Only good thing about them is they teach you a lot about the diesel world and rapids

The truck on my profile hasn’t had any work done to it in 230k miles, pull heavy with it. But my other one I went ahead and studded, oil cooler, stc fitting, stand pipes, pushrods, and a couple other things. Nothing was wrong with it just wanted it done. Been trouble free too.

Cac tube is sweating all over it too. Ford changed manufactures to allow Dorman to make the cooler to block gasket, been junk since then. Any variation is surface and they leak.

Not to mention the fact that the fuel system can’t handle itself so injectors like to go out if you don’t keep up with maintenance

I have 312k on my stock 6.0, injectors done at 230. Stock egr and oil cooler. Not all need to be bulletproof.
