I'm still working on this, but replacement was a gamechanger for me. just keep /something/ in your hands at all times: lacroix, soda, whatever. as long as it's not booze.

I was an alcoholic for 30 years. I stopped drinking 11 years ago & it’s destroyed my life. I was upper management when I was drinking now I’m on ADHD meds & I’m unemployable for the last three years.

I’ve always struggled with alcohol dependence and I had no idea that it could be related to my adhd. But I have noticed when on adhd meds my cravings for alcohol go down to next to nothing.

Omg I used to drink and clean my entire house. That was the only time I would clean! Now I have stopped drinking all together though cause the hangovers just weren’t worth it.

That’s insane. Most of the time I can’t even start chores unless I’ve had a drink because it seems to get me to work/give me the motivation that I normally don’t have. I’m trying to work on it so I don’t start a dependence to get what is needed done

AuDHD here. ALL of my emotions have gone numb and idk why. BUT when I drink it makes me cry uncontrollably🤔. I have no idea what to do to get my emotions back, I want to FEEL something without alcohol.

My brother's basically only had to say "I think I have ADHD" to get meds but as a woman they just push SSRIs and mood stabilizers 😭 idk how to advocate for myself when I'm diagnosed but I'm being treated for everything but ADHD
