Make sure to SAVE this beautiful hike in Grand Teton National Park! This is Cascade Canyon in Grand Teton National Park. We started this hike by doing an optional boat ride across Jenny Lake to shave off 4 miles round trip of our hike, and start right at the beginning of the trailhead. This hike starts with a gorgeous view of the parks most popular waterfall, Hidden Falls. After that, you ascend a short series of switchbacks to get to Inspiration Point. Once you’ve gotten to this expansive overlook of Jenny Lake, most people end up turning around. Don’t miss out! Continue along the Cascade Canyon Trail, you’ve already done the hardest part of this hike! Cascade Canyon Trail has small ups and downs through the trail once you’ve made it past Inspiration Point. Inspiration Point is essentially where you gain most of the elevation gain for this hike. So once you’ve gotten make it to Inspiration Point, continue going and enjoy yourself! There are incredible views of a bright turquoise colored creek rushing through out the canyon trail, and the further you go the more expansive cascade views you get rewarded with! There was so much wildlife on this trail, we saw a moose and her newborn calf, a massive bull, and a small fawn along the way. The couple behind us mentioned they had seen a black bear along the trail, which we unfortunately missed out on. We have learned to always carry our camera, telephoto lens, and tripod wherever we go in Grand Teton, even on hikes! Make sure to save this to your Grand Teton National Park itinerary, and send this to someone who would enjoy this beautiful hike! Cascade Canyon Trail Hike stats: 9.5 miles with 1,150 foot elevation gain out and back (add about 4.5 miles if you do not use the Jenny lake boat) Our difficulty rating: 4/10 Be on the lookout for wildlife! If you take the Jenny lake boat, it is $15 per person one way, or you can get a round trip pass for $20. Boats pick people up about every 10-15 minutes, but just be aware of potential wait times if you go during the middle of the day #Hiking #grandteton #adventure #waterfall #wyoming Best hikes in Grand Teton | Bucket list hikes | National Parks | Grand Teton National Park
