There shouldn’t be magic words! There should be investigations! It should be based on how bad you need it. My dad’s neighbor has had full disability paid and he was putting a new roof on his house.

Hi thank you for your knowledge..I got my son SSI I didn’t know much then and it took me almost 3yrs plus getting an Attorney..I started reading the proper way to address my son’s situation towards the end so he didn’t get his actual amount of back pay..

My grandson lost his sight to legally blind. He worked in a grocery the summer before college. He only gets $300/mo at 20/200 &20/400VISION. Shouldn't it be more than that? HE CANT SEE!

I wrote that I never knew from one day to the next how I would feel, physically and mentally, and expanded on that with examples. It was the truth. I was approved on my first appeal without an attorney. I'm so happy to see this info being brought to light. And those questioning who does and doesn't have a disability, stop judging! You have no idea how it feels to not be able to work a full-time job. It's humiliating to be constantly second guessed. Shame on you. Let the professionals be the judge.

yeah I was denied after fracturing my skull and my spine, I have constant pain but they didnt care about anything I said. so what did I do. worked the only job i knew how to do which made it worse for me and the job I have is to physical so denied again. dying of pain everyday and nothing I can do

I've been diagnosed with chronic PTSD, my fourth vertebrae up is sitting on my psionic nerve causing me to barely be able to walk some days. I'm completely blind in my right eye and going blind in my left eye and I can't lift over 5 lb with my right wrong at do to it being crush. I've been fighting disability for 4 years and my lawyers keep telling me it's not enough I don't have enough wrong with me. I cry all the time from pain and depression. please help. I go in front of a judge on the phone in July

I applied for a 1 year temp medical disability when i had both legs surgically broken, a fixator on my tibia and on narcotic pain meds, and i was still denied because i was “young and healthy, and should’ve been able to work my previous employment as a security officer”….. I appealed it four times before I finally gave up.

I broke my legt leg in Nov 2025 (fibula, tibia, and tore all my ligaments/tendons). In March i got a leg infection in the same leg. I got denied SSDI
