According to ancient Buddhist traditions, Yashodhara was born on the same day, at the same exact moment, and in the same year as the Buddha — the Vesākha Puṇṇamī, this Vesak Full Moon (May 12th, 2025). Yashodhara, also known successively as Bimba Devi, Rahulamatha (Mother of Rahula), and Bhaddakaccana Theri, the Great Pre-eminent Disciple of the Buddha Foremost in Great Insight, is honored for her profound spiritual journey. It is also said that Arahant Yashodhara attained Nibbana at the age of 78 on a Vesak Full Moon.
