It is extremely complicated tó open a bank account in Italy. Best thing is get a POSTEPAY debit card at the post office, where you get an IBAN too tó make transfers and receive bank wires.

you can do it online. there are many online banking accounts, like revolut, isy bank, BBVA etc. they only ask for a document like a passport and it's really fast and easy

Use Fineco!! They offer bank accounts for non-residents and it’s way better than getting a poste pay!!

i feel you 🥲 i had the residenza, permesso di soggiorno and codice fiscale but i’ve been told that i need carta d’identità??? i applied for it abd got it on friday, i’ll try this week with the bank 🥲 this place is so unrealll

I cried the first time I went to try to open my bank account in Italy 🤣 I found one where I could open it online without having to go in person and that’s the one I’ve used since🤷🏻♀️🤣

Go to intesa which is close to IED they opened an account for me even though i live on the other side of the river they didn’t ask me to go to the nearer bank or smth and as well they are helpful
