I saw cockatiel needs to be 2 in the cage. I have 1 cockatiel, her cage is in my room because I’m always in my room. Her cage is always open unless it’s sleepy time. I try to play with her a lot but I’ve been having her for almost 2 weeks and she’s 5 month old. I’m scared that it’s not enough. She had a pretty big cage and when I’m at school I put plushies next to her cage and let my dad/brother go see her. Even if I’m not home her cage is open. I saw she needs another cockatiel but my dad doesn’t allow me to have another one and I don’t have the money for it.. btw this is her !!

Hi! so Im 15 Years old and kinda want birds for a long time already. i decided ill go for cockatiels. I like animals and would like to bomd with them, my problem is im so scared of getting bit since that happened often with my childhood bunny. Ik birds can "bite" you too, but it doesnt hurt that much. I have enough money to buy the birds, the cage, food and toys (ill craft some new ones from time to time). i think on christmas ill ask for permission for cockatiels. i wanted to ask for some realtalk. so if anyone has experience, please share it with me! thanks
