I hate dining rooms! I prefer an eat in kitchen and then use the dining space for whatever we need, currently ours is a playroom.

Looks good - you could still use that as a formal dining room if you changed your mind later - I like French doors for a dining room - makes the room feel more intimate - win all around!

We are doing this in our remodel - we are creating what we are calling a flex space that could be set up as a dining room/ bedroom but we will use it as an office
