:
dear frank ocean, it’s hard to put into words just how much your voice, your stories, and your presence have meant to so many people over the years, and even though you’ve stepped away from singing and releasing music, there’s still this quiet space you left behind that no one else has really been able to fill, like a feeling that lingers long after a song ends, and we all find ourselves going back to your work again and again, not just because it sounds good but because it feels real in a way that so much music doesn’t anymore, and even though we don’t fully understand why you chose to stop, there’s a kind of respect in letting someone follow their own path, especially someone who gave so much of themselves through their art, and at the same time, we can’t help but say that we miss you, not just the music but the way your songs seemed to understand things we didn’t know how to explain, the way they captured moments of growing up, love, confusion, and everything in between, and even now, people still talk about your albums like they’re living, breathing things that continue to evolve with every listen, and it’s kind of amazing how your silence has somehow made your voice even louder in people’s lives, and wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, we genuinely hope you’re doing well, finding peace, finding joy, and living in a way that feels true to you, because at the end of the day, that’s what your music always encouraged others to do, and even if you never return to singing, just know that what you created still matters deeply, still connects people, and still reminds us of something honest and human that’s hard to find anywhere else, and maybe that’s more lasting than any new song could ever be- sincerely the world.
