So, I prefer to respect people while they are alive. By the time an archaeologist finds someone, it has no impact on the life they lived. Whereas, respecting people while they’re still around can make a huge difference

Archeologists can’t tell either. They have been assuming that all royal or regal burials were men but now realize they have been very wrong in their assumptions

Historian and Anthropology student here. it's not just the skeletal remains. Grave goods, clothing as well as knowledge of culture goes into putting the story together of the remains.

I watched a documentary once where archeologists discovered a lost civilization where they found out that a few men lived as women because of how they were buried. It wasn’t done to shame them but it was done with dignity and respect. The lgbtqia+ community has existed since the beginning of humankind. Some mid evil religions have made it a bad thing. If people would learn to talk to one another and learn about different cultures we might actually make it. Just another dream of mine

Honey, they’re not gonna be able to find a whole skeleton of me.. I requested that when I die my friends and family have my body dismembered and then plant my various body parts in different places in the wild so that I a. Don’t have to spend eternity taking up space in a lonely coffin (I’m kind of against have yards) and B. Because the idea of being worm food and then becoming food for some deer or tree or plant, or soil, ya know I want to contribute to the cycle of life, and I want my energy to be reused in the beautiful way that Mother Nature intended.
