In his universe I think him and Omni man made a deal and they didn’t get into the fight in Chicago, so then the Viltrum empire sent someone like conquest to fight them and take over earth. The fight happen near the Grayson residence (due to him saying “I always hated this place”) where his dad died so he United with the Viltrumites and took his dads name and suit as tribute
