The reality is I work at a tech company I’m gonna be honest I write the first 10% and gpt does the rest of the 90% I don’t blame them for replacing. People please drop the denial stage. Ai is soo efficient that a group of 10 to do a project we can just do it with 2

I code and use AI every single day. Every time I try and let AI take the wheel on anything major, it develops solutions that are difficult to maintain, overly complicated and do not leverage native functionality of the framework. It’s an efficiency booster absolutely, but not a replacement.

All these tech companies are also very invested in making it seem like AI can code. Because they are investing in AI like crazy, and need to sell the idea. It’s all a huge gamble imho

Truth, you were laid off to be hired at a lower wage. All those jobs will be replaced, but at a 10%-20% decrease in pay. THIS is the great reset. C suite loves it because expense decreases.

Tech layoffs = over staffed in previous years bc the economy allowed it. There isn’t any other reason…nobody needs 42 people doing the same basic stuff and we all know it if you’ve been in this industry
