#CampbellsPartner What is your favorite Holiday side? For me it has to be this take on Au gratin potatoes that is seriously kicked up a notch just in time for #sidesseason thanks to my partnership with @Campbell’s Soup !! It's layered with tons of flavor and nostalgia…. While also being completely delicious and will have everyone asking for the recipe at your next get together! For more incredible regional recipes to make your holidays even more special, make sure to check out sidesseason.com! Recipe: 5-6 slices of bacon 3 tbsp of reserved bacon fat 2 tbsp all-purpose flour 2.5 cups half and half 1 can (10.5oz) Campbell's® Cheddar Cheese Soup 3-4 lbs of Yukon Gold Potatoes, washed 4 oz swiss cheese, shredded 6 oz gruyere cheese, shredded ¾ cup sour cream Chives or green onion Salt and pepper Preheat the oven to 400 F and place the slices of bacon on a parchment paper lined baking tray and bake for 16-18 minutes or until cooked through and crispy. Reserve the bacon fat from the pan. Chop the bacon and set aside. In a skillet over medium heat, add 3 tbsp of reserved bacon fat and heat it up before adding the all-purpose flour and whisking continuously. While whisking, slowly pour the half and half into the skillet. Once combined and smooth, add the can of Campbell's® Cheddar Cheese Soup into the pan and whisk to form the base of the sauce. Simmer for 5-7 minutes. While the sauce simmers, Using a knife or mandolin, cut the washed Yukon gold potatoes into ¼ in slices. You can leave the skin on if you prefer. Reduce the heat to low on the sauce and add in the swiss cheese. Whisk until the cheese melts then remove from the heat and season with salt and pepper. Grease a 9x13 baking dish, then place ½ of the potatoes into the dish making sure they are evenly spread throughout. Then spoon ½ of the sauce over the potatoes before repeating with the remaining potatoes and sauce. Cover with foil and bake in the preheated 400-degree oven for 45-50 mins. Remove the foil and bake for 15-20 more minutes or until the potatoes are fork tender. Then remove from the oven and spread the sour cream over the top of the potatoes before topping that off with the shredded gruyere cheese and broiling for 4-5 mins on High. Remove from the oven, top with the chopped bacon and let it rest for 5-7 minutes before topping it off with the chives or green onion. #augratinpotatoes #loadedpotatoes #sidedish #sides #Recipe #holidayrecipe #holidaysides #midwesternfood #food #Foodie #foodiegram #foodiesofinstagram
