I find that my hair glides through the plates without snagging when it’s blow dried first. So I use a Rev Air first then less heat (380) on the Wavy Talk with steam.

Starting with clean, deep conditioned hair makes a difference too. It looks like your hair is healthy and deep conditioned beforehand and I don’t think people understand that makes a difference with getting your hair straight.
