IMO, I feel it’s mostly just hard to follow along with. Same happened with the original Gear 5 appearance and same could be said for fights like Sukuna VS Mahoraga (though tbh I somehow feel even that was easier to follow). Like they’re beautifully animated, of course, but it becomes less about choreography and more about how much we can cram into one image at a certain point. You can make something look so spectacular, but if I can barely tell what’s going on, then what’s the point?

Even if we take what they mean by ‘Over Animated’, that fight should be. It is 2 ridiculously fast and powerful people fighting, one of them literally being light itself and the other being a goofy reincarnation of a God. I would think its gonna have tons of frames.

whats really frustrating is that overanimation is a real and valid critique but people use it wrong on Twitter and or gives bad examples. which makes others think it's not real. it's becoming a buzzword.
