I’m an SLP who has worked with a lot of clients with tongue ties and many of them say that when they get their tongue ties released - they feel muscular tension SIGNIFICANTLY lessen from jaw to upper back. Postural issues, sleep issues, TMJ, mouth breathing etc can all be signs that your tongue tie is affecting your myofunction 💗

NO! the white band you see is your frenulum - that itself is not a “tongue tie.” it looks like from the video you can move your tongue freely and touch the roof of your mouth :) no tongue tie!!

I just found out that I have a tongue tie at my orthodontist appt at the ripe age of 31 and that’s why I have overcrowded bottom teeth 😭

Okay I have a friend that just got hers released and she said it felt like a scraped knee and was uncomfortable for a couple of days but it wasn’t bad

I’m literally in your shoes and feel you so much. I’m going for my first deep tissue next week. Did it help you at all or last? I had an injury and neck and traps are so freaking tight!!!

Hi!!! Former EDDA who worked specifically with an office who specialized in releasing tongue ties- for both infants and adults. It is 100% worth a consult, but make sure you do your research! It’s a long process when done correctly (speech therapy, making sure your airway won’t be affected etc) but I was AMAZED at how it truly benefitted so many patients.

Dental assistant here! Tongue tie could be the cause for your issues. I had one and it relieved soo much pain! It could be a posterior tongue tie and I ouodnahve it assessed!
