He came to Australia in the 1960s to give his family a better future. You didn’t need to hear him speak to know what he was thinking — his presence said it all. Strong. Stern. Respected. Today, we washed him, we shrouded him, we prayed over him, and we returned him to the earth. A Palestinian warrior has left us.
