I remember I saw a couple of comments "defending" Seon when he said this, they said that "well he's pretty kinda right" Ni-ki was 14, a child and Seon (21 years old) said HE CAN'T SING AT ALL.

Aku sedih gabisa nemenin dan kenal riki dari i-land:(( tapi waktu aku nonton i-land gabisa banget, riki waktu itu masih 14tahun, merantau juga dari jepang ke Korea, apa apa sendiri, jauh dari orangtuanya... dia juga harus mendengar hate komen padahal masih sekecil itu.. kadang tiap lihat riki udah seterkenal sekarang tuh terharu banget... proud of you riki sayangku 🥹🥹💞

anak 15 tahun udh ngerantau dari jepang ke korea tanpa keluarga, banyak nerima komentar jahat/ heaters, masuk ground berkali kali, ga dibolehin deket sm temen waktu di i-land, sehari bisa sampe belasan jam latihan.. n yap, perjuangan dia ga sia² sekarang, love you my baby ni-ki❤️

I did analysis podcast for one of my classes on this exact issue. Not to mention the fact that he was one of the youngest and he was given a higher level of pressure and standards compared to some of the others, which I feel was greatly due to his skill level and maturity compared to people like Taki and Daniel. So I feel like that made them expect more from him and made it easier for him to hate on because they held him to such a high standard.
