The trick I’ve been using is just zip tie the pull cod latch..you will not have any issues

Why do you need an emergency entry on a garage built into a house which has an internal entry? Just disconnect it and remove the external fitting that shows it has an emergency entry or you will still get the hole drilled

lock the garage door from the inside.... by using a latch on either side...then use two master locks
