What works for me when I’m entangled with ‘excessive rumination’ is simply counting in the breath 1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4 and just focusing on the physical sensation of breathing. Don’t know if it would work for you, you have many distractions to deal with. Good luck 🤗

Wish I could do something for you, my heart aches seeing you like this. It’s a cruel world to be living with this. I have multiple sclerosis, I’m wheelchair bound & bed bound but I have lots of help.

I have ADHD and its almost impossible to silent my thoughts. What I do when I need to sleep is imagine Im floating through space. I visualizing every planet in our solar system and try to remember the names of the planets. Starting from the sun its Mercurius, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturnus, Uranus, Neptunus and even Pluto. I do this for years and it helps me falling into sleep very much. In my younger days I would imagine I was floating in the middle of the ocean. Visualizing is a way to calm your thoughts. I wish you the best. I feel for you.

I have a sound machine. It has all kinds of different sounds ocean, rain, cricket birds. I said it too soft rain, especially when I’m feeling down. It also helps me sleep.
