This was too long. I’ll sum it up. Chinese guy circling the wagons about the ‘greatness’ of Chinese manufacturing. Here’s the pushback: Centralized govt policies do this well at the expense of innovation and startups. Money will flow towards innovation, ie United States. True manufacturing stalled in US last 30 years because China benefited from lower cost of production (labor) and generous WTO rules. Private equity are and will be investing in U.S. manufacturing going forward. The landscape has shifted. Nice try with summary though.

We are Americans. We can and must compete with the world in the manufacturing space. Time to let talent and imagination shine. With innovation America can build our own AI facilities with our own robots. Government should offer incentives for Slate truck model and build what the USA needs in the USA. Parts can be purchased on the open world market or better yet be manufactured in the USA also. We are the biggest spender on earth. BUY AMERICAN FROM AMERICANS.

Bring back common sense :
His tariff plan is horrible and will not work. However, I have to disagree with your statements around LG washer mfg. Them being automated has nothing to do with their technology or knowledge of how to automate. It has way more to do with their volume and their available capital to make those investments. I have 33 years of mfg consulting experience. Mfg washers is not a complex process.

I’m not MAGA, and I’m worried about plenty of things: loss of faith in vaccines, the extreme behavior if ICE, and the awful behavior of many in government. But I am beginning to feel optimism because the BBB isn’t as bad as democrats make it out to be, and we’ve been due for a host of re-sets, and while this is painful, and in some ways disgusting, I suspect we’re going to get through this and come out better on the other side.
