I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to visit @the.Plimsoll a popular North London pub. They have a restaurant area within the pub and I believe you can order some of the food to enjoy in the pub/outside area too. The main hype at the Plimsoll is of course their Dexter Cheeseburger. Now I love a cheeseburger and I’m trying to get more acquainted with pickles in my burgers so I was excited to try. And of course, I’ve heard very good things. The burger is at first glance a little on the small side, but looks can be deceiving as I was absolutely full by the end and couldn’t eat another bite. It’s a smashed beef burger in a brioche bun with heaps of burger sauce, American cheese, pickles and onions and it truly does the job. I can’t fault it at all, amazing. I loved every bite. They do a small plates menu at the plimsoll with all the dishes arriving individually. Every table had the burger. We also loved the cucumber salad and tandoori lamb rump. I would probably skip the pasta, nice flavours but needed to be cooked a little longer and it isn’t really necessary if you’re ordering the burger, which you probably are. Another must order is the Plimsoll fried potatoes. A seemingly simple dish packed with delicious flavour, cooked perfectly and served alongside a garlic aioli for dipping. I get the hype when it comes to the Plimsoll’s burger and definitely recommend. We’ll be back for sure!
